For the Gamay lovers (and we know there's a lot of you...) we have an excellent value bottle from Domaine Moulin Camus in the Loire Valley. This wine is delicate yet punchy all at once - a full mid palate with notes of sweet morello cherries and ripe plum with just a little hint of vanilla. Don't let the modest price tag fool you into thinking it won't hold its own against a more well heeled Beaujolais - this wine has class and attitude, and the guts to back it up.
Plenty of new orange wines have hit the shelves, perhaps most notably Ancre Hill's fabled Orange Wine. 100% Albarino grown in the Welsh county of Monmouthshire, this is surprising yet delightful all at once. Deep, savoury, with nectarine & tangerine and some lifted herbal notes AND a label to make Anthony Burgess's IP lawyer turn in their grave. Grab a bottle quickly - it won't hang around long!
For something a little more accessible, Mas Theo's Mogul is a great introduction to the world of skin contact wine - this is delicate and fresh with a palate of dried herbs, apricot and a little tannin backed up with a nice salinity. For the more adventurous give the same producer's Ginger a go. This is an earthy and plump orange wine with stone fruits flavours and a suggestion of saline nuttiness. Structured and dry with the perfect autumnal hue - an ideal wine for the transition to the colder months!

More and more people are making a conscious effort to drink in moderation and some have given up altogether. Maybe after being stuck at home for so long, with let's face it nothing much to do other than tuck into our cellars people are more aware of how much they are consuming. We get it, Elliot & I are constantly surrounded by a pretty epic beer & wine collection and we often have to check ourselves on how much we are consuming. Since the low alcohol beer offering has gotten so good it's easy to opt for an alcohol free option without having to compromise on taste.
It's is a healthier option for sure, as there is no alcohol in it, alcohol free beer can help rehydrate you rater than dry you out. We've all woken up feeling like it's the Sahara Desert in our mouths after a night out before. Alcohol free beer also has less calories than regular beer so actually can help you maintain a balanced diet.
There are 4 main ways to make alcohol free beer.
We did some digging around to find out how some of the beers we are stocking produce their alcohol free delights!
The following breweries are using: LIMITED FERMENTATION
The following breweries are using: DEALCOHOLISATION
In summary, we think its worth while to add a few low alcohol beers to your order and enjoy some guilt free treats. Check out our range below.

We knew Bruce, Jack & Rich from previous jobs in the beer industry and as always they were super friendly. Although it wasn't until a few years later when Rich and Libby bonded over some cheeseburgers - more about that another time.
After such a fun trip to Falmouth for the Verdant Little Summer Beer Bash & having enjoyed the beer scene in Bristol so much in 2017 we decided we were going to the Left Handed Giant Little Summer Beer Bash.
The LHG Little Summer Beer Bash did not disappoint either, it rained the whole day! But the beer was incredible, we had a few firsts that night. The First Mills Brewing beer we tried but also the first Black Angus Barrel Aged Stout from Left Handed Giant - this decadent, luxuriously stout was just so self-indulgent like drinking a coffee chocolate cake dipped port barrels.
Fast forward a few years and we now have our on bar in Hackney Downs so it's our turn to host Left Handed Giant. Friday the 13th of March 2020 was the big day, the kegs for the tap takeover had landed and everything else was ready to go. Sadly, the Left Handed Giant crew didn't actually make it out to the event because of the old C19.... 10 days later the whole country was locked down.
We still feel that we have unfinished business with our friends at Left Handed Giant. So much so, we are chuffed to announce that we've invited them back for our first post-Covid event!
Starting on Thursday 30th of September, the team from Left Handed Giant will be attending. We'll have 6 taps including a special dark beer, we'll have LHG swag as well as a loads of cans for sale.
Check out the Facebook event here.
Don't worry if you can't make it down you can buy their beers to enjoy at home. Browse all the Left Handed Giant beers.

I'm trying to cast my mind back to remember my first encounter with Track Brewing Co but I can't put my finger on it. Feels like their beers have been in my life for a good while now especially their signature 'go to' 3.8% pale ale, Sonoma.
All Good Beer has proudly stocked beers from Track Brewing co since we popped up in Bermondsey (back when beer mostly came in bottles.) They have been a staple in our fridges ever since. I do remember getting a keg of Lipari Lemon Sour in which blew my mind and I was pushing it on anyone who would listen! It was at a time when some people hadn't tried a sour ale so it was a lot of fun seeing how they reacted to it.

All Good Beer has come a long way since we first started popping up at local markets way back in 2016.
Don't get me wrong, we still a micro company with our 6 strong workforce but we've grown a lot especially in the past 12 months. So much so, the amount of beer (and wine) that flows in and out of our doors has increased by quite a lot too. I'll hold my hands up and admit that we struggled to keep all of the stock chilled despite somehow fitting 9 fridges into our small space.
We've taken on some extra space here in Hackney Downs and kitted it out with a state-of-the-art modular cold room meaning that we can proudly say that we have fully embraced the cold chain!
We can now keep all of our beers chilled and it's our aim to get all local deliveries straight from the chiller and into your fridge at home.
This was a big investment for AGB but hopefully one that helps us to continue improving our service, ultimately making your drinking experience better!
It's also a lovely place to hang out when it's mega hot outside.

What is Orange Wine?
Its nothing crazy like being made from oranges or being artificially coloured. During the maceration process the skins of white wine grapes are left on for anywhere in between a few days, or even months. This is where the term 'Skin Contact Wine' comes from. This can give the wine an orange appearance and provides big bold flavours and even a delicious funky taste that we absolutely love!
What does it taste like?
It's really hard to pinpoint an exact flavour profile of orange wine because it depends on what grape variety the wine maker uses, each different variety will taste different from the next. That being said, given the presence of grape skins in its production orange wine is much higher in tannins than regular white wines. Resulting in much more complex & interesting favour profiles, sometimes even a little funky if they have wild fermented as well. Orange wines are generally described as being robust and full-bodied with a great depth of flavour like a red wine.
Common tasting notes include:
If you are new to skin contact / orange wines then feel free to ask one of our team on site or even email in. We are always happy to recommend an introductory bottle. Or if you just want to go ahead and load up straight away then the Cantina Marilina - Sketta is a great place to start.
Distinctive, oxidative character from a long skin fermentation in open top concrete vessels. The vineyards are farmed bio-dynamically and the wines are made without intervention, in a "way their Grandmother used to make them", then fermented and aged in concrete with 30 days of skin macerations.
